David Paul Fahle

David Paul Fahle, 58, of Elmore, OH, passed away February 20, 2009 at Akron General Hospital from surgical complications. Dave was born March 6, 1950 in Fremont, OH to the late Don and Mayreanne (Kreilick) Fahle. He graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1968 where he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. He also attended the University of Toledo on a football scholarship. On February 3, 1984 he married Kathy Deitemyer Mulligan, and she survives. Dave built custom furniture, worked as a carpenter and later designed and sold kitchens. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, telling stories, and reading. Survivors include his wife of 25 years Kathy of Elmore, stepchildren: Joshua (Christine) Mulligan of Desert Hot Springs, CA; Zak Mulligan of New York City, NY; and Tara (Kelly) Sibert of Sylvania, OH; brothers: Dennis (Debra) Fahle of Gibsonburg, OH; Richard (Paula) Fahle of Lindsey, OH; sister Carol (Scott) Heilman of Gibsonburg; and granddaughter Evelyn Mulligan of Desert Hot Springs, CA. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore. Services will begin at 11am Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at St. John's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Steven Simpson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to either: Elmore Historical Society, Harris- Elmore E.M.S., Harris- Elmore Public Library, St. John's United Church of Christ, or another charity of the donor's choice.
