David Mcconahay

October 3, 1925 — May 22, 2012

David H. (Mac) McConahay of Marblehead, Ohio died Tuesday at Lutheran Home Society in Sandusky. Mac was born in Van Wert, Ohio to Roy and Regina McConahay on October 3, 1925. He was married to Harriet Burnett of Sharon, PA on Sept. 9, 1950. Survivors include his wife: Harriet McConahay, daughter Janis and her husband Dennis and granddaughter Kendel. David was preceded in death by his son Rick in 1995. Mac served in the United States Marines during World War II, then went to Bowling Green State University where he majored in Education. His first job was in Westlake, Ohio. Then in 1978 he took a junior high principal's job in Shelby, Ohio. Several years later he became the Assistant Superintendent in Shelby where he retired in 1978. There will be no visitation. A Masonic Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside--Marblehead, OH Burial with Military Honors will follow at Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township.
