David James Caputo

David James Caputo, 52, of Marblehead, Ohio died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born on January 2, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Tilton) Caputo. Dave worked as a boilermaker for Local #85 out of Toledo for the past 32 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead; was a 32nd degree mason for the Oliver H. Perry Masonic Lodge #341, Port Clinton; and a member of the 1974 Olympic Hockey team which won the bronze medal. His hobbies included duck hunting, fishing, and boating on Lake Erie. He was a proud father and grandfather. Survivors include his children: Angela (Martin) Wiser, Atlanta, Georgia; Ada (Garry) Wells, Belgrade, Montana; and Seth David Caputo, Sylvan Lake, Michigan; grandchildren: Noah, J.J., and Ezekiel Wiser, and Allyson, Alexandrea, and Averie Wells; and "wife": Patricia McKimmy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 11 am until 4 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Peninsula Chapel, where members of Oliver H. Perry Masonic Lodge #341 will conduct masonic services at 2 pm, followed by funeral services at 4 pm with Reverend Daniel J. Ring, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating.
