David C. Whiting

David C. Whiting, 67, of Oak Harbor and formerly of Port Clinton passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at his home. He was born November 30, 1956 in Port Clinton, the son of Richard C. and Helen E. (Burke) Whiting, Sr. David worked at Standard Products util they closed. He was a United States Navy Veteran and he enjoyed golfing, playing poker, going to the casino and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Surviving are his children: Nicole Whiting of Oak Harbor, Betty Arnold of Port Clinton, Dan (Bridget) Whiting of Michigan, Jacquelyn Whiting of Toledo, Jason (Renae) Whiting of Clyde;  step-children: Amy Appleman of Sandusky, Carrie Escobedo of Sandusky; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; siblings: Richard C. Whiting, Jr. of Toledo, Linda Chevalier of Elmore; aunt: Dorothy Prokop of Port Clinton and his second wife: Susan K. Whiting of Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his son: D. J. Whiting; sisters: Tina Whiting, Debbie Whiting, Pat Whiting Crawford; brother: Terry Whiting; uncle: Carl Prokop; nephew: Timothy Stayancho; first wife: Tina Whiting and third wife: Teresa Whiting.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to the family c/o Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452 to help with funeral expenses.
