David Allen Kaiser, 65 of Oak Harbor, OH passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 24, 2025 at his home. He was born November 10, 1959 in Port Clinton, OH to Carl & Lucille (Sievert) Kaiser. David was the youngest of 5 children. David went to Rocky Ridge School and attended Penta County Vocational School. He grew up on the family farm and helped with many jobs on the farm, raising chickens and pigs, pulling loads of grain or hay, chopping fields and many other farm chores. He was a big help to his mom and dad.
David worked for a brief period at Wal-Mart. After that job he began his own business collecting and recycling cans and scrap metal. David was a very social person. He never met a stranger he didn’t like. He greeted everyone with a smile, a hug and a kind word. He was always excited to go the Oak Harbor Fourth of July Fireworks, the Ottawa County Fair tractor pull and the Oak Harbor Apple Festival. He loved collecting hats and giving gifts.
Survivors include his siblings: Rita Kaiser of Boynton Beach, FL, Janet (Larry) Lickert of Oak Harbor, OH and Ed (Sue) Kaiser of Oak Harbor, OH; and sister-in-law Bev Kaiser of Oak Harbor, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Kaiser.
He loved and was loved by his caregivers Tim and Michelle, who were like family to him. He leaves behind his “best” little buddy, protector, ferocious guard dog, Archie. He is loved by Jesus and many, many more. He will be missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, OH. Burial will be held privately by the family in Limestone Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, or Mid-County EMT Association. Online Condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesmanfuneralhome.com.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Mid-County EMS for all of the times they came to the aid of David. An especially for all of their hard work in trying to give David a chance to remain on this earth.
