Darrold D. Stoops

Darrold Dewayne Stoops, 72 of Graytown, OH died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home. He was born September 27, 1940 in Highland County, OH to the late John and Jennie (Pierson) Stoops. On March 26, 1976 he married the former Phyllis Westfall and she survives. Mr. Stoops retired following 31 years at Celotex in Port Clinton, OH. Darrold enjoyed being outdoors. He truly loved his hunting trips to Chillicothe, OH, fishing and sitting on his swing. Survivors include his wife Phyllis of Graytown; children: Dewayne (Gordon) Stoops of Chillicothe, OH, Latisha (Gordon) Stoops, David E. Stoops of Sandusky, OH, Jeff E. Stoops of Port Clinton, OH, and James (Jamie)Stoops of Oak Harbor, OH; brothers: Harold Stoops of Lynchburg, OH, James (Judy) Stoops of Wilmington, OH, and Carl Stoops of Wilmington, OH; sisters: Jean Glaze of Xenia, OH, Mary Fink of Chillicothe, OH, Nancy Wheelen of Xenia, OH, Sharon Jones of Xenia, OH, and Carol Sue (David) Davidson of Sabrina, OH; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Vera Miller. All services for Mr. Stoops will be handled privately. His wishes were to have his ashes taken to Chillicothe, OH.
