Daniel J. "Tweet" Pepa, 84, of Port Clinton, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, OH. He was born July 14, 1927 in Marblehead, OH the son of the late John and Anna (Hudak) Pepa. He married Mary Ontko on Nov. 22, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblhead, OH and she survives. Mr. Pepa was a plumber and pipefitter at New Departure in Sandusky retiring in 1989. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, he was the Past Grand Knight of St. Joseph Knights of Columbus Council #4218, 3rd Degree Knight of Port Clinton Knights of Columbus Council #1750, he was a member of the Tuesday morning men's prayer breakfast at Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton and a member of the United Auto Workers in Sandusky. He enjoyed reading maps, riding his bike, traveling and attending his grandchildren's activities. Surviving are his wife: Mary; son: James (Jaimie) Pepa of Evanston, IL; daughters: Marianne Nazarian of Muncie, IN, Kathleen (David) Abele of Loveland, OH; grandchildren: John Nazarian, M.D., Emily Nazarian, Nicholas Abele, Matthew Abele, Claire Abele; sister: Alice Kozak of Marblehead, OH; sister-in-law: Gloria Pepa of Marblehead, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special Ontko sisters-in-laws and their spouses. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law: Leon Nazarian, M.D.; brother: John Pepa and his sister: Dorothy Summersett. Prayers will begin at 9:30 am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH followed by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated by Father John Missler 10:00 am Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Visitation will be held Monday from 2:00 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead, OH following the mass. Memorial contributions may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the donor's choice.
