Daniel A. Ontko

Daniel A. Ontko, 95, of Cleveland, OH and formerly of Marblehead, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Pleasant Lake Villa Parma, OH. He was born on October 5, 1911 in Marblehead, a son of Frank & Anna (Adams) Ontko. Dan was a retired accountant for Republic Steel and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Marblehead. He is survived by his daughter, Irene (John) Kilbane, North Royalton, OH; son, Daniel F. (Mary Ellen) Ontko, Cleveland, OH; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Marion “Monie” Griesser, Marblehead, OH, Delores Strickler, Mayfield Heights, OH, and Eulalis Walliser, Tiffin, OH; and his brother, Aloysius “Al” Ontko, Marblehead, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice “Pokey” Ontko in 1994; his parents; brothers, Clarence and Francis; and sisters, Anna, Paulene, Antoinette, Magdalen and Josephine. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, with the Rev. James E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
