Cynthia K. Orlando, 75, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH was called home on Thursday, September 19, 2024, after her long battle with cancer. She was born February 12, 1949 in Portsmouth, OH.
Cindy loved to dance, spend the day fishing at her family cottage, reading, working in her beautiful garden and traveling with her best friend, Barb. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she would dress up like a witch every year to pass out candy. Her granddaughters were the absolute light of her life. She was a devoted nurse and mother and loved her family and friends with her whole heart. In her final days, she was surrounded by her loved ones. She will be missed beyond measure, but we find peace in knowing she is with her parents again, and no longer in pain.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Evelyn (Glaze) and Bob Orlando of Mentor. And her Aunt Ina Jane of Ashtabula.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Philip) Bobel of Lorain, OH; granddaughters: Sonja and Olivia; siblings: Greg (Tami) Orlando of LeRoy, OH, Pam (Bill) Valentine of Magnolia, TX, Vicky Law of Mentor, OH, many family members in Southern Ohio, and her beloved nieces’ and nephews from Texas, California, Ohio and Australia.
She has chosen not to have services, but will have a celebration of life at The Chagrin Tavern, 196 E. Island Dr. Eastlake, OH 44095 from 2-5pm Saturday, October 19, 2024. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckercrosserpriesman.com . Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel is handling the arrangements.
