Constance M. "Connie" Rounds

Constance “Connie” Marie Rounds, daughter of Joseph and Emily (Karshuk) Kuzma passed away on November 20, 2022. Connie was born on August 20, 1943 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio.

She was baptized on October 10, 1943 at St. Paul Slovak Church in Port Clinton and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Port Clinton. She graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1961 and attended Davis Business College in Toledo, Ohio.

Connie married her high school sweetheart Roy Norman Rounds on June 17, 1961 in Port Clinton, Ohio. They had two children Michael Rounds and Mary Beth Mylander. Connie was privileged to be a stay-at-home mom, volunteering for school activities. After her children were older, she worked at Ottawa Hunt Club and Riverview School as a teacher’s aid.

Connie and Roy moved to Oak Harbor in 2000. They became members of St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge. Connie enjoyed her church family, helping with Bible School, bake sales, dinners, bereavement meals, advent brunch and belonged to the Women’s Bible Study Group. She also enjoyed making and sending cards to members.

Connie was an avid reader, enjoyed making cards, scrap booking and putting puzzles together. She also enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. She looked forward to getting together with her Red Hat Sisters, going on day trips, doing lunch or just getting together to play games or cards. She enjoyed spending time in Florida on Marco Island during the winter, collecting shells and taking long walks on the beach.

She was an enthusiastic supporter of all four of her grandchildren’s sports, music, dance recitals, 4-H programs and all academic endeavors.

She is survived by her husband: Roy; son: Michael and wife Roberta Rounds; daughter: Mary Beth and husband Kevin Mylander; granddaughter: Chelsea and husband Jim Chambers; granddaughter: Katelyn and husband Rich Kizys; grandsons Austin Apple and Noah Mylander; great-granddaughter Scout Marie Kizys.

A memorial service for Connie will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, December 10, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church, 450 N. Rocky Ridge Rd. Oak Harbor, Ohio. Family and friends may visit prior to the memorial service beginning at 10:00 am. Following the service, a luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall. Interment will be private at Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton, Ohio. The family asks that in lieu of flowers Connie be remembered with a memorial to St. John Lutheran Church, P. O.
