Clifford D Brown

Clifford D. Brown 82, of Sandusky, OH died peacefully in his home with his family at his bedside on July 19, 2013. He was born Jan 10, 1931 in Lincoln Park, MI the son of Earl and Mabel Brown. Mr. Brown worked in the Cleveland Flats on the railroad in a variety of positions then began to establish a number of business in Elyria, Ohio--Cliff Brown Coin Laundry (several locations) and Dry Cleaning, Cliff Brown Carpet and Drapery Cleaning, as well as a pizza business, a convenience store and several other businesses. He was a hard working man who always strived to make family, friends and customers feel welcome. He retired to Catawba Island in 1978 and then moved to Florida in 1987. He and his wife returned to Sandusky in 2004 where they lived at the Commons of Providence until moving to Parkvue Place a year ago. Surviving are his daughter: Susan (Tom) Hartman of Marblehead, grandchildren: Nathan and Becka Hartman of Marblehead, Joseph, Clifford and Thomas Brown all of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his wife: L. Elaine (Dirrim) Brown; son: Clifford D. Brown, Jr.; parents: Earl and Mabel Brown; step-mother: Elizabeth Brown; brother: William Brown and sister: Jane Parr.
