Claudine Grieger

Claudine “Connie” Grieger, 85, of Oak Harbor, died Monday, October 2, 2006 at Riverview Senior Health Care Campus in Oak Harbor. She was born November 15, 1920 in Water Valley, Mississippi, to the late Henry Claude and Mitylene (Forsyth) Connor. On July 4, 1941 she married Robert H. Grieger who preceded her in death on February 28, 1992. Connie was a 1942 Graduate of Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Jackson, Mississippi. In the 1970’s she graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as a member of the first class of Nursing Practitioners in that State. She was a Registered Nurse for a Health Clinic in Arkansas, Magruder Hospital, Riverview Nursing Home, Fremont Memorial Hospital and was a Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Wells. She was a member of the Lutheran Faith and Port Clinton Artists Club. She enjoyed oil painting, quilting, sewing, painting decoys & detailing them, and fishing. Survivors include sons: James (Cheryl) Grieger of Oak Harbor, Patrick (Corina) Grieger of Leonard, MI., twin daughters Claudia (David) McDougall of Port Clinton, Kathy (Danny) Appelhans of Graytown, OH., grandchildren: Julie, Kelly, Erin, Bryan, Nancy, Nicolas & Michael, and 3 great- grandchildren. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm, Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, with the Rev. David Tinker officiating. The Family will receive friends beginning at 11am, 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
