Clarence Rudy Tennant

Clarence R. "Rudy" Tennant, 62, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Thursday evening at his home. He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on September 20, 1948, the son of Harold R. & Carlene Iona (Blazer) Tennant. Rudy was an employee of U.S.Gypsum in Port Clinton, retiring in 2004. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader for Pack 370 and Troop 370. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Rudy also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a skilled woodworker and especially enjoyed crafting toys for children. On July 26, 1972, he married the former Nancy L. Pittenger, in Ray, Ohio, and she survives. Also surviving is his son Patrick Tennant, Oak Harbor; daughter, Ashley Tennant, Oak Harbor; sisters, Donna D. Sturgill, and Judy (Steve) Smith, both of Frankfort, Ohio; nephew, Mark (Arion) Smith, Lucasville, Ohio, special friends, Dave & Doris Meyer, Jonathon & Carrie Meyer, Kevin Meyer, George & Barb Fifer, Chad Fifer, and Kristen & Ryan Davis, all of Oak Harbor. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Arby Sturgill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where friends may call after noon on Monday. Interment will follow at Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township.
