Clarence J. Craigo

Clarence J. Craigo, 91, of Sandusky and formerly of Mansfield. OH died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born September 8, 1925 the son of the late Clarence R. and Ollie (Myers) Craigo. He married Edith E. Baker on September 2, 1949 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 4, 1983. Mr. Craigo retired as a cost estimator for Stone Container Corp. of Mansfield. He was a past member of New Albany united Methodist Church where he previously served as treasurer. He was a United State Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and won numerous awards in Fred Astaire Competitions. Surviving are his daughter: Sue (Don) Cunningham of Marblehead, OH; grandchildren: Heather Biglin of Bridgeport, OH, Stephanie (Tom) Lewis of Shelby, OH, Heather (A.J.) Wittig of Rockford, IL; nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Edith and sister: Gladys Parsons. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH 43440 where visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:30 until the time of the service. Graveside services will be conducted 9:30 am Wednesday at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Ave. W. Ontario, OH 44906.
