Clara Weber Woischke

Clara (Weber) Woischke, 94, of Columbus, OH and formerly of Put-in-Bay, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, OH. She was born May 10, 1914 in Columbus, OH the daughter of the late Bruno and Agnes (Wiedmann) Weber. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Columbus. She married Max Woischke on April 28, 1934 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1990. Mrs. Woischke was a mother and housewife. From 1956-1966 she helped her husband run a boat rental and campground in the summer and a ice fishing service with a bed and breakfast in the winter. They retired and moved to Denver, CO in 1966 and spent the next 20 years camping, exploring and rock hunting across the United States. She was a member of Seton Square North Catholic Chapel, Columbus and a former member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Put-in-Bay. Surviving are her sons: William (Shirl) of Pine City, MN, Joseph (Neoma) of Sun River, OR, Robert of Schaumberg, IL, John (Debbie) of Dublin, OH; daughters: Rosalie "Rody" (Bill) Woischke-McCool of Dublin, OH, Debbie Woischke of Columbus, OH; grandchildren: James, Jeffrey Woischke, Lisa Lear, Laurie Kozak, Angela Ann Maida, Kari Weinmann, Rob Baker, Joy, Jim and Janet Evans, Alynn, Brian and Douglas Woischke; great-grandchildren: Cassandra, Kristina, Amber, Aspen, Autumn Woischke, Dustin Lear, Nathaniel, Nicole Weinmann, BJ, Haylee Baker, Ben Kozak. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Mary Ann Woischke; brothers: Herman, AL and John Weber and sister: Maryann Rees. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ronald Brickner at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Put-in-Bay where visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Mapleleaf Cemetery, Put-in-Bay, OH. Memorial contributions maybe given to Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church or Franklin Co. Senior Options, Columbus, OH.
