Chris Bradford

Chris R. "Capt. Chris" Bradford, 57, of Marblehead, OH died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 on Catawba Island. He was born September 18, 1954 in Defiance, OH the son of Charles R. and Mary Bradford. He married Kelly Biafore in 2008 and she survives. Capt. Chris was a ferry boat captain for the Kelleys Island Ferry. He was also a tool and die maker. He enjoyed boating and being on the water and love a good nor easter. Surviving are his wife: Kelly; daughters: Jennifer (Bill) Young of Oak Harbor, Meghann (Mike Hug) Bradford of Port Clinton; mother and Mary (Denny) Clay of Palmetto, FL; step-son: Lenny Benyak of Oak Harbor; step-daughters: Christene Benyak of Rockhill, SC, Sarah Lange of Marblehead; grandchildren: Aaron Lee, Sydney, Caleb and William; step-granddaughter: Taytum; brother: Ricky (Sue) Bradford of Defiance; sisters: Kathy (Terry) Davis of Defiance and Amy (Tony) Halbgewoks of Oakwood, OH. He was preceded in death by his father: Charles R. Bradford. A Celebration of his life will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 from 1:00 2:00 pm with memories being shared at 2:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, LakesideMarblehead, OH. Private interment services will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's choice.
