Chester M. Brooks, 69, of Port Clinton, died Friday September 4, 2009 at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo. He was born February 28, 1940 in Kingsport, Tenn, the son of the late Patton and Vicky (Walker) Brooks. Chester retired from the Kelsey Hayes Company in Fremont. Surviving are his daughter Tina Hernandez of Port Clinton; sons Malone Brooks of Richmond, VA and Daniel Brooks of Norwalk; Grandchildren Logan, Schell, Joshua, Tabitha, Jacob, Dalton and Lexi; great-grandchildren Haley, Joleigh, Elijah, Noah and Brieanna; sisters Willey Graham and Lotus Goyne and brothers Billie and Jimmy Brooks. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 pm Tuesday at the Church of God, 423 Garfield, Port Clinton with the Rev. Earl Taylor officiating.
