Charlotte Bloomfield

Charlotte June Ackermann Bloomfield, age 89, of Danbury Township, Ohio, died peacefully at home on January 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by Earl, her beloved husband, to whom she was married for over 66 years. She was a loving mother to four sons, and is survived by Roger (Susan), Don (Jan), Doug (Joanne), and by Cheryl, the wife of her son, Randy, who died in 1996. She was a devoted grandmother to Christine Feller, Amy Bloomfield (Scott Martinelli), Nancy Bloomfield (Jeremy Hebert), Tom (Jenneke) Bloomfield, Michael Bloomfield, M.D. (Marin Mannix, M.D.), Jeffrey Bloomfield, Ryan Bloomfield, and Abby Bloomfield, and great-grandmother to Emily Feller, Tommy and Charlotte Ellen Bloomfield, and Madison and Alexa Martinelli. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews with whom she was close. Charlotte was born in Lakewood, Ohio, to Frederick J. Ackermann and Helen Charlotte Campbell. She attended Ohio University before joining her husband during his military service. Her life's work was caring for, attending to, and encouraging her husband, children and grandchildren. Calling hours from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, January 10, at Neidecker, LaVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio.
