Charles Roy Hayduk

Charles R. Hayduk, 85, of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Riverview Senior Health Care Campus in Oak Harbor, Ohio. He was born February 19, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Carl and Margaret (ODonnel) Hayduk. He married Carol Ann Goltz on October 29, 1954 and she preceded him in death on July 18, 2017. Charles worked as a die-cast machine operator for General Motors in Elyria and as a mechanic at the Catawba Island Club Marina until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Democratic Club. He especially enjoyed fishing, boating and sailing on Lake Erie. He also enjoyed woodworking and traveling around the country. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, Diana Beaver, Norwalk, Ohio, Laura Guerra, Marblehead, and John Hayduk (Mai Slaughter), Silverdale, Washington; grandchildren, Carla, Carl, Joel, April, Holly, Valerie, Nicole, Anthony, John Jr., and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Cara, Justin, Jayden, Danyal, Joey, John, Austen, Ayden, A.J., Sophia, Christopher, Ryan, Tyler, Isabella; great-great-grandchildren, Cyleigh, Sadie, and Emmet. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his grandson, Michael Leon Beaver and his brothers, Jerry and Robert Hayduk. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 3 pm until Services at 6 pm with Pastor Harry Hunt officiating.
