Charles R. Shortridge

Charles R. Shortridge, 75, of Port Clinton, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born July 13, 1932 in Kentucky the son of the late Richard and Hazel (Atkins) Shortridge. He married Nancy Jeremy on July 19, 1951 and she preceded him in death on June 29, 1998. He was the owner/operator of Shortridge Tree Service and House Moving. Surviving are his sons: Charles L. “Rick” (Mary Jo) Shortridge of Castalia, Lawrence “Lonnie” (Rebecca) Shortridge of Port Clinton, Mark (Rhonda) Shortridge of Marblehead, OH; daughters: Mary Buzzard of Port Clinton, Joni (David) Betschman of Georgia, Nancy (Ray) Haugh of Findlay; fifteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother: William (Shirley) Shortridge of Fremont and half-sister: Ernestine Riddle of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and grandson Mike Hoffman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service with Pastor Jim Lehman officiating.
