Charles J. Schuster, 76, of Huron, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 with his loving wife by his side. He was born on October 16, 1939 in Fremont, Ohio, the son of the late Karl and Evelyn (Hoffman) Schuster. He graduated in 1957 from Port Clinton High School. On May 18, 1985 he married Sue Ellen Jennings and she survives. Charlie worked as a Machine Repair Machinist at New Departure- Delphi in Sandusky, Ohio for 27 years until his retirement in 2005. He then went to work for GFS Marketplace in Sandusky as a stocker until January 4, 2014. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Huron, Ohio where he served on church council, and fellowship committee. He volunteered with the prayer path through the Huron churches, and also at the Christ Community Meal for over 6 years. He along with Sue Ellen volunteered at the Sandusky State Theatre. He was proudest of his role in the play, "In Search of the Christ Child". His hobbies include camping, traveling, yard work, and his favorite was cooking. He has a collection of over 600 cook books. He also enjoyed going to flea markets, steam tractor shows and antique shows. Survivors include his loving wife, Sue Ellen; sons, Carl (Glenda) Schuster, Huron, Ohio; Brian (Holly) Schuster, Alpharetta, Georgia; and Kevin (Melissa) Schuster, Fort Worth, Texas; their mother, Linda Davis; grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, Andrew, and Bailey Schuster, and his feline companions, Precious, Bernadette, Sweetie, Cindy Lynne, and Rascal. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Barbara. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Mandy Oleson officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery.
