Charles H. Zacharias

Charles H. Zacharias, 81, of Marblehead, died Wednesday September 3, 2008 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He was born February 11, 1927 in Cleveland, the son of Alex and Helen (Shinaman) Zacharias. Charles was retired from the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant after 30 years of services. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge of Collins, Ohio, the VFW and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. Surviving are his wife Rosalind (Malcomb) whom he married on May 9, 1986; son Alan (Rhonda) Zacharias of South Lyon, MI; daughter Kelli Zacharias of Parma Heights; grandchildren Preston, Cara and Brennan Zacharias; brothers William and Dan and sisters Ethel Evans and Noreen Brady and nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother Leroy preceded him in death. Services will be held at 11 am Saturday at the Grace Baptist Church, 4650 East Port Clinton Eastern Road, Port Clinton. The Rev. Peter Dodd will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
