Charles E. Johnson

Charles E. Johnson, 77, of Gibsonburg, OH, and formerly of Vanceburg, KY, died Monday evening, November 6, 2006 at Riverview Heath Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born in Vanceburg on July 22, 1929, a son of Earnest & Deal (Stapleton) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a truck driver for L.O. Kilmer Lumber, Limestone, OH. His first wife was Evelyn (Teagarten) Johnson Stonerook, and they were married for 30 years before they divorced. He was then married to the late Mary Kinney Johnson, and they also were divorced. Surviving are his children, Ricky Lee (Sharon) Johnson, Elmore, OH, Ronald (Hazel) Johnson, Elmore, OH, Jackie Ray Johnson, Sandusky, OH, Trudy (John) Conley, Graytown, OH, Larry Charles (Jill) Johnson, Gibsonburg, OH, Danny Dean (Darlene) Johnson, Gibsonburg, OH. Shirley (Chuck) Meyer, Harbor View, OH, Theresa (Adam) Clark, Vanceburg, KY, and Sheila Johnson, Vanceburg, KY; sister, Ethel Adkins, Indiana, and M. Marie Skidmore, Lindsey, OH; 16 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter, 2 grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, John, Harry, and Earl Johns; and sisters, Salena Cox, Edna M. Pressley, and Clara E. Wright. The family will receive friends from 9-11 A.M. Thursday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday. Pastor Rick Bickelhaupt will officiate.
