Charles E. "Chuck" Butler

Charles E. "Chuck" Butler, 80, recently of Catawba Island and formerly Fairfield Glade, TN and Elyria, OH died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. He was born Feb. 15, 1936 in Dubois, PA the son of Lawrence E. and LaBelle (Bedell) Butler. He married Suzanne Parish on August 22, 1959 and she survives. Chuck was a salesman for Alpha-Owens Corning retiring in 2002. He enjoyed following his grandson's sporting events and he was an avid golfer and a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Tennessee Volunteers. Surviving are his wife: Suzanne; daughter: Paula (Bernhardt) Zeiher of Port Clinton; grandsons: Charles "Alex" Zeiher of Jackson, MI, Jacob Paul Zeiher of Port Clinton; sister: Mollie Lance of Elyria; brother: Larry Butler of Avon Lake; nephew: Charles Lance of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his niece Terri Radosevich. A Celebration of Chuck's life will be held 1:30 pm Friday, January 27, 2017 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd.
