Charles E. Brinkman

Charles E. Brinkman, 75 of Elmore, OH died Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Riverview Nursing Home, Oak Harbor. He was born August 22, 1949 in Fremont, OH to the late Lyle and Gwendolyn (Kardatzke) Brinkman. He was a 1967 graduate of Harris-Elmore High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Anderson College. Charles was an Accountant for the Village of Genoa and City of Fremont, retiring in 2015. He also drove truck for his father’s business for over 20 years. In 1969 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Prince of Peace Church, Oregon. In his spare time, Charles loved to buy and sell antiques, however he seemed to buy more than he sold.

Survivors include his wife Charmaine (Mahl), whom he married October 21, 2017, of Elmore, OH; sons: Peter Brinkman of San Diego, CA, Kyle (Kayla) Brinkman of Bixby, OK, and Shane (Franchesca) Brinkman of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren: Cruze, Zachary, Zane & Clara; sisters: Naomi (Jeff) Maule of Syracuse, IN, and Joan Brinkman of Elmore, OH; step-son Kenneth Moon of Williamston, MI; step-daughters: Hillary Moon (Vinnie Knittel) and Megan Moon (Thomas Berger); and step-grandchild Juniper Moon. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Jane & Jeanie Brinkman and former wife Sherry Brinkman.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3-7pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elmore-Genoa Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Prince of Peace Church, 4155 Pickle Road, Oregon, OH with Rev. John Genszler officiating. Following a luncheon at church, burial is scheduled for 2pm at Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore, OH.
