Charles A. Atwater

Charles A. Atwater, 85 formerly of Oak Harbor, OH died Monday, October 16, 2017 at his home in Northwood, OH. He was born June 18, 1932 in Oak Harbor to the late Arthur and Bessie (Fick) Atwater. He was a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. Charles retired from USCO in Port Clinton, OH where he worked in the warehouse. He enjoyed gardening and doing home projects. Survivors include his sons: Charles E. Atwater of Bowling Green, OH and Richard M. (Olga) Atwater of Ottawa Lake, MI; brothers: Neil (Joanne) Atwater and Terry (Gen) Atwater both of Oak Harbor; sisters Donna Greener and Betty (Ron) Watt both of Oak Harbor; many grandchildren; 1 great- grandchild; step- daughters: Kathleen Shanfelt of Kendallville, IN, Lynne Neier of Pemberville, OH and Crescent (John) Blevins of Pemberville. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Twp. Union Cemetery, where military honors will be observed by American Legion Post #114 & V.F.W. Post #8732, Oak Harbor.
