Catherine A. (Holman) Lauer-Spinks, 88, passed away April 16th, 2010. Catherine was born June 30, 1921 in Olivia, Minnesota. Catherine was a wife, mother and homemaker, and was employed for a time at the former Standard Products Company, Port Clinton. She had many hobbies and had become a world traveler. Catherine is survived by her daughters, Joanne Blanton of Aurora, Colorado and Martha (Ed) Rigor of Foley, Alabama; sister, Barbara (Bud) Palmer of Rocky Ridge, Ohio; daughters-in-law, Charlotte Lauer of Port Clinton, and Peggy Jo Lauer of Fremont, Ohio; grandchildren, Ray (Renee) Roberts , Jodi (Rick) Hoover, Brian (Stephanie) Blanton, Chris Lauer, and Kelly (Jim) Reinheimer; 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews, and best sidekick, her little dog Sugar. Catherine will be missed by her neighbors at Heritage Eagle Bend, all the doggie walkers, and best friends, Suzie & Don Howard of Festus, Mo. She was preceded in death by husbands, Conrad Lauer and Herbert Spinks; sons, Joseph Lauer and Larry Lauer; and son-in-law, Bill Blanton. A celebration of Catherine's life will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, where friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Saturday. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Ottawa County.
