Carroll Butch Voorhees

Carroll "Butch" Voorhees, 59, of New Carlisle, Ohio died Friday, November 14, 2008. He was born July 30, 1949 in Fremont, Ohio a son of the late Franklin & Priscilla (Garner) Voorhees. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a Scoutmaster of Troop 27, New Carlisle. Butch was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City and retired from civil service at Wright Patterson AFB. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bertha "Birdie" (Krumnow); son, Paul (Stacie) Voorhees of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Dave (Cheryl) Voorhees of Luckey, OH; sister, Diane (Bill) Fleming of Lindsey, OH; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Weller and a nephew, Greg Weller. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont, OH, where friends may call after 9:00 A.M Wednesday. Interment will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or Boy Scouts of America. Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, is handling arrangements for the family.
