Carolyn Pridemore

January 16, 1942 — April 11, 2007

Carolyn Pridemore, 65, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She was born January 16, 1942 in Oak Harbor to the late Vernie and Eunice (Harper) Burdine. She married Dorse “Jim” Pridemore on March 9, 1965 and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2000. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was also employed at Silgan Plastics, formerly AIM Packaging, in Port Clinton where she worked for almost 17 years as a Quality Control Supervisor until she became disabled in 1995. Carolyn was involved with many different organizations throughout Oak Harbor. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout advisor for 10-12 years, helped in organization of Galaxy Baton Twirlers, assisted in her kid’s 4-H clubs, Future Homemakers of America and provided childcare for many of the kids in the Oak Harbor area. She also was an avid Bingo player, Floral Arranger, and loved to shop and help people. Survivors include her daughters: Cynthia Waite (Dale Kazmierczak) of Northwood, OH, Crystal (James) Marble of Toledo, OH, Diana (Mark) Weiker of Green Springs, OH, Kimberly (Chris) Girdham of Hillsdale, MI; brothers Jess (Mardella) Burdine of Oak Harbor and Alvin Burdine of Salt Lake City, UT; sister Jeralyn Grieger of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Amber Gardner, Cara Kashmer, Desiree King, Holly Skinner, Dustin Weiker, Derrick King, Brian Weiker, Justice Waite, Jordynn Carpenter, Erica Weiker; step- grandchildren: Amanda Sarnes, Amy Tingley, Kaitlyn Marble, and great-grandchildren: Alexis Richards, Cameron Skinner, and Levi Schultz. Also surviving is an “associated daughter” Lisa Molnar of Port Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother- in- law Ernie Geiger. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-9pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Hegemier officiating.
