Carolyn E. (Goetz) Rohloff, 82 of Graytown, OH passed away February 2, 2025 at her home. She was born September 6, 1942 to the late Wilton and Helen (Petersen) Goetz. She graduated from Salem-Oak Harbor High School in 1960. Carolyn completed the business program at Stautzenberger College and became a secretary at Owens-Illinois, Toledo from 1961 – 1969.
On September 22, 1962, Carolyn wed her high school sweetheart, Pete Rohloff, who preceded her in death August 22, 2019.
1977 brought a move to Southwest Missouri where she helped Pete on the farm. On September 3, 1978 Carolyn was baptized into the Lord Jesus Christ. After 10 years in Missouri, Riverton, Kansas became their new home until 1991 when they moved to Livonia, MI. While in Livonia, Carolyn worked at Hunt’s Ace Hardware until 2003.
Returning to Graytown, OH in 2004, Carolyn retired. She became a member of Intersection Church, Oregon, OH, where she also enjoyed bible study and many fun days with the senior group. Carolyn was an auxiliary member of Riverview Nursing Home, Oak Harbor, OH. Carolyn was always passionate about sewing, gardening, and baking. She took great pride in taking care of her family.
Left to cherish her memory are: son Richard (Ping) Rohloff; daughter Suzan (David) O’Brien; grandchildren: Isaac Young, Sunny, Tanis & Zackary Rohloff and Caitlyn, Cathryn & Timothy O’Brien; great-grandchildren: Evelina & Todd Guynn; brother Roger (Mary) Goetz; and sister-in-law Janet (Tom) Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Pete, daughter-in-law Cathy Rohloff, brother Arnold Goetz, and niece Jennifer Goetz.
Graveside Services will begin at 1pm on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Elliston Cemetery. Friends and family are then invited to Intersection Church, 1640 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH for a luncheon and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Intersection Church, Cherry Street Mission, or Allen Township Fire Department (Williston).
