Carolyn A. Heminger

Carolyn A. Heminger, 75, of Elmore, Ohio, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. She was born in Elmore on December 21, 1935, a daughter of Alfred E. & Rowena H. (Marolf) Flick. Carolyn was an employee of Champion Spark Plug, Toledo, for nearly 30 years, retiring as a supervisor in the order department. Previously, she was a switch board operator for the former Brush Beryllium Company, Elmore. Carolyn was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Champion, and enjoyed playing Pinochle. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Terri (Gary) Donnell, Woodville, Ohio; granddaughters, Sarah (Dan) Davis and Megan (Jon) Williamson; great-granddaughters, Rylee Williamson, Morgan Williamson, and Violet Davis; brothers, Karl (Irene) Flick, Burlingame, CA, Dennis (MaryAnn) Flick, Elmore, Ron (Terri) Flick, Elmore; sisters Beverly (Paul) Johnson, Jekyll Island, GA, and Linda Flick, Washington, D.C.; brother-in-law, Reid Johnson, Canada, and sister-in-law, Nancy Flick, Martin, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Leslie Flick, and a sister, Irene Johnson. Friends are invited to call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel, 19550 West State Route 51, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday. Rev. Melissa Steinecker will officiate, and interment will be in Harris-Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes.
