Carol Sue Gentry

Carol Sue Gentry, 76, of Port Clinton and formerly of Fremont passed away September 8, 2024 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born October 30, 1947 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Dayle and Jean (Morton) Meyer. She married Terry Gentry on June 26, 1976 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2014. Carol was a hairdresser for 20 years in Port Clinton and Fremont. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton; the former Port Clinton Moose Lodge #1610, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #2295, Port Clinton, Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718, Port Clinton Chapter #267, Order of Eastern Star and a social member of Port Clinton V.F.W. Post #2480

Surviving are her sons: Chad W. Smith (Sarah) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Ryan J. Smith of Elyria, OH; grandchildren: Kyle Smith (Samantha) of Rossford, OH, and Andrew Smith (Emma Lee) of Fremont and sister: Debra Meyer of Indiana.

There will be no services, a wake will be held at the Port Clinton Eagles, Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 1-3 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Rd. Port Clinton, OH.
