Carol Ann Hayduk

Carol Ann Hayduk, 83, of Oak Harbor, Ohio and formerly of Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Riverview Health Care Campus in Oak Harbor. She was born on October 18, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Lila Goltz. On October 29, 1954 she married Charles Hayduk and he survives. Carol worked as the secretary for Jim Mazur in the Commissioner's Office for over 20 years until her retirement in 2000. She especially enjoyed crocheting and sewing, as she made all of her children's clothes when they were little. An avid traveler, Carol enjoyed traveling to the East Coast, Florida, and Seattle, Washington. She also enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, outdoor campfires, and spending precious time with her family. She was a huge animal lover and took care of her 3 cats, "Kitty", "Putty" and "Miss Piggy" (all deceased) as well as her son's dog, "Acer" (deceased). Survivors include her husband, Charles; children, Diana Beaver, Norwalk, Ohio, Laura Guerra, Marblehead, and John Hayduk (Mai Slaughter), Silverdale, Washington; grandchildren, Carla, Carl, Joel, April, Holly, Valerie, Nicole, Anthony, John Jr. and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Cara, Justin, Jayden, Danyal, Joey, John, Austen, Ayden, A.J., Sophia, Christopher, Ryan, Tyler, Isabella; great-great-grandchildren, Cyleigh, Sadie, and Emmet; sister, Phyllis Dittmer, Amherst, Ohio and step-sister, Jane Garrity, Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael; and brother, William Goltz. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio, from 3pm until services at 6pm with Pastor Harry Hunt officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
