Carol A. Hofacker

Carol A. Hofacker, 88, of Port Clinton, OH passed away on her birthday, Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born June 20, 1936 in Circleville, OH the daughter of Harry and Virginia (Peters) Kochensparger. She married James M. Hofacker on December 18, 1954 at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton.

Carol was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton and a founding member of Ohio Star Quilt Guild. She previously worked at Wilson Cabinets and Carol’s Fabric Art.

Surviving are her husband: James; children: James Hofacker, Jr of Tiffin, OH, Cynthia Benney of Port Clinton, Scott (Michelle) Hofacker of Fostoria; grandchildren: Kyly (Steven Wadsworth) Bahnsen of Port Clinton, Tyler Bahnsen of Fremont, Victoria Hofacker of Fremont, Sarah (Taylor) Smith of Perrysburg, Carolyn Hofacker of Perrysburg; great-grandchildren: Zachary Guba, Kaleb Wadsworth, Kolt Wadsworth, Graham Bahnsen and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Ron Kochensparger; sister: Joyce Winke; half-brother: Jeffrey Kochensparger and half-sister: Arvie Purtee.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Catawba Island Cemetery. Rev. Jarrod Schaaf will be officiating.
