Carl W. Kaiser

Carl W. Kaiser, 83, of Oak Harbor, OH, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at his home. He was born in Graytown, OH on September 29, 1922, a son of the late William & Fredericka (Lehman) Kaiser. Mr. Kaiser was a life-long farmer, retiring in 1980. He also was a former employee of American Ship Building and Hans Hansen, both in Toledo. Mr. Kaiser was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge, OH, where he was a deacon and a former member of the Building Committee. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #1610, Port Clinton, the Ottawa County Farm Bureau, and the N.F.O. Mr. Kaiser enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening with his wife, and traveling to Mexico, Europe, and Israel. He married the former Lucille Sievert on June 16, 1945, and she survives. Also surviving are sons, William (Beverly) Kaiser, Graytown, OH, Ed (Sue) Kaiser, Oak Harbor, and David Kaiser, Oak Harbor; daughters, Rita Kaiser, Ft. Myers, FL, and Janet (Larry) Lickert, Oak Harbor; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Theodore, and Reuben Kaiser, and a sister, Orlena Blausey.
Friends may call from 2-9 P.M. Thursday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where the family will be present from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge. Rev. Keith Baker will officiate, and interment will be in Limestone Cemetery, Limestone, OH.
