Carl M. "Mike" Behlke

Carl “Mike” Behlke, 71, of Danbury Township passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home. He was born June 27, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Carl Wilmont and Florence (Schmer) Behlke. Mike married JoAnn Berr on November 1, 1975. Mike was a long-time charter boat captain working for Drawbridge Marina and Tibbels Marina and Charter Service as well as an ice guide in his early years in Marblehead. He then owned and managed their family business, Behlke Trailer Park and Marina. Mike also owned Mike’s Excavating for a number of years then full time operating Behlke Properties and Storage. Mike enjoyed perch fishing, working outside around his property, always enjoyed helping others, and most of all spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by wife: JoAnn; son: Todd Behlke of Huffman, TX; daughter: Jodi Leigh Wheeler of Marblehead; grandchildren: Eric Wheeler, Makenzie Jo Wheeler and sister: Carole Behlke of Santa Rosa, CA.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd.
