Carl Herman Wargowsky

Carl H. Wargowsky, 89, of Oak Harbor died Friday, October 03, 2008 at Riverview Health Care Campus under the care of Stein Hospice. He was born December 10, 1918 in Oak Harbor to the late Herman and Emma (Schentz) Wargowsky. On May 5, 1945 he married the former Dorothy Schwachenwalde and she survives. Carl was a lifelong farmer. He was a 4-H Leader for over 15 years and loved to play softball. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Oak Harbor, sons: Charles Wargowsky of Oak Harbor, and Gary Wargowsky of Fremont, OH; daughter Karen (Larry) Lieske of Chillicothe, OH; grandchildren: Jeffery and Jason Lieske, Melissa (Jeff) Groen; Jessica, C. Brandon, and Carter Wargowsky; and great-grandchildren: Katie and Alexander Groen, and Hayden Wargowsky. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Hunsinger officiating. Burial will be in Rusha Cemetery, Oak Harbor. At the Family's request flowers will not be accepted in the Funeral Home. Instead, memorial contributions can be made to Stein Hospice or St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
