BRUCE A. BROOKS, 76, of Port Clinton, Ohio died July 31, 2006 at his residence. He was born July 22, 1930 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Lester & Martha Ellen (Wilder) Brooks. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, He worked as a machinist as General Electric until his retirement. He was a member of Port Clinton Eagles Lodge Aerie #2295, Port Clinton VFW Post 2480, American Legion Post 113, and AMVETS. Survivors include his loving companion: Pat Carson, of Port Clinton; son: Guy & Lisa Brooks, of Cleves, OH; daughter: Dianna Monk, of Rising Sun, Indiana; 10 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; brothers: Donald & Dottie Brooks, of Burlington, Kentucky; James & Roberta Brooks, of Aberdeen, Maryland; and Bill & Audrey Brooks, of Reno, Nevada; sister: Faye Smith, of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Dale Brooks; brother: Vernon Brooks; and sister: Beulah Dickerson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 4 at 11:00 AM at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton.
