Bradley Obenour Bauer

Bradley Obenour Bauer, 65, of Marblehead, OH passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 surrounded by his family at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born October 23, 1953 in Crestline, OH the son of Harry and Mary Ellen (Obenour) Bauer. He married Lisa Ann Scopel on July 17, 1981. Brad retired from Danbury Local Schools in 2015 where he taught Industrial Arts, and was also a Guidance Counselor. While at Danbury, Brad also coached boys and girls track for over 20 years; he also coached football and girls golf while at Danbury. He was inducted into the Crestline H.S. Athletic Hall of Fame, the Danbury H.S. Hall of Fame, and the Toledo Area Athletic Conference Hall of Fame. Brad was a kind and thoughtful husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, teacher, and coach. He enjoyed snow skiing, playing guitar, golfing, working in his garage, and renovating his house. Brad knew how to enjoy life. He loved to surround himself with friends, to talk, and to tell a good story. He impacted so many lives and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his wife: Lisa; son: Zachary (Erin Brady) Bauer of Lakewood; grandchildren: Genevieve Brady Bauer, Atlas Brady Bauer; sisters: Brenda (Mike) Turinsky of Marblehead, Sandra (Bill) Sowash of Washington Courthouse, OH; He is also survived by his mothers and fathers-in-law, Marie and Nick Vuich of Crestline, OH, and Angelo and JoAnn Scopel of Ford City, PA; brothers-in-law: Mike Scopel of Crestline, OH, and Darren (Melinda Shofner) Scopel of Barrington, NH: sisters-in-law: Annette (Bobby) Johnston of Crestline, OH, Babette (Rick) Ronk of Crestline, OH, Michelle (Steve) Dobransky of Ford City, PA. Brad was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, May 13, 2019 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions will be made to the Bradley Obenour Bauer Scholarship Fund through the Marblehead Bank.
