Bonnie L. Mcbee

Bonnie L. (Avers) Pfeiffer McBee, 64, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at her home. She was born in Port Clinton, Ohio on July 2, 1947, a daughter of Warren & Thelma (Wendt) Avers. A 1965 graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School, Bonnie was an accountant for Bassett's IGA in Oak Harbor and Catawba Island. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, and enjoyed travelling and reading. She knitted and crocheted for many charities over the years, and was a long time supporter of the Cherry Street Mission in Toledo. Bonnie was a NASCAR fan and greatly enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and going to Curves. She married Harold McBee on December 12, 1989, and he survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Laurie Pfeiffer, Oak Harbor; step-daughter, Ramona (Mitch) Schack, Wilmington, NC; step-son, Robert McBee, Kentucky; sisters, Diane (Ted) Lepard, Oak Harbor, Sharon (John) House, Oak Harbor, and Linda Avers, Oak Harbor; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews that were very special to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Raymond Pfeiffer; son, Randy Pfeiffer; brother, Thomas Avers, and step-daughter, Rhonda Niedler. The family will receive friends from 3-9 P.M. Monday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday. Pastor Kyle Timmons will officiate, and interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery.
