Bonnie I. Ray, 53 of Port Clinton, OH died Friday, May 17, 2024 at Firelands Hospital, Sandusky, OH following a brief illness. She was born October 15, 1970 the biological daughter of Otis Phillips. She was raised by her adoptive parents Robert & Rita Ray. She was a 1989 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. She also graduated from Penta Career Center's law program through Oak Harbor schools. Bonnie was a stay at home mom, who would work various jobs when necessary to provide for her family. She married William Reaper in the town of Millbury, Ohio in 1999.
Bonnie was a devoted mother and grandmother, who found joy in spending time with her loved ones. She loved to watch football and Nascar, with her favorite football team being the Pittsburgh Steelers, and her all-time favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt Sr. Bonnie was also an avid reader, who especially loved the Harry Potter books. She had a keen interest in law, and was very knowledgeable in the subject.
Survivors include her children: Steven Rider Jr., Shawn Reaper, Samuel Reaper, Jeannine Reaper; step-children: James, Nathan, Jenelle, and Jacob Reaper; husband William Reaper; father Robert Ray; siblings: Robbie Ray, Marguerite Troknya, and Jennifer Fillmore; 7 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her biological parents; daughters Fala Kay Rider and Serenity Reaper; and adoptive mother Rita Ray.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor. There will be no Services at this time and will be handled privately by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
