Bobbie L. Ramey

Bobbie Ledford Ramey, 90 of LaCarne, OH died unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 16, 2024. He was born December 1, 1933 in Virginia to the late John Tivis and Myrtle Vesta (Gilliam) Ramey. Bobbie served in the United States Army from September 1953 – September 1956. On December 20, 1957 he married the former Ida Mae Beverlin who preceded him in death in 1993.

Bobbie was a finish carpenter for Dana Construction. This job relocated him to Spring Hill, FL for nearly 40 years. He was a founding member of the Erie Township Fire Department, loved listening to Bluegrass music, and watching Women’s College Basketball and the Cleveland Guardians.

Survivors include his daughter Jane M. Harris; grandson Jeffrey (Jessica) Hetrick; great-grandchildren: Ryan Kuehling, Ellie & Colt Hetrick; and nephew John (Debbie) Ramey. He was also preceded in death by his son John S. Ramey; grandchildren: Ryan D. Hetrick & Sarah M. Hetrick; and brothers Billy and Johnny Ramey.

Friends and family are invited to Erie Township Hall on March 2, 2024 for a Celebration of Life gathering from 1-4pm. Burial will be handled privately by the family.
