Billy J. Branch, Jr.

Billy J. Branch Jr., 53 of Oak Harbor, OH died Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Mercy- St. Anne Hospital in Toledo, OH following a sudden illness. He was born May 13, 1970 in Elyria, OH to Billy Sr. & Sandra (Weslow) Branch. He was a 1990 graduate of Huron High School and received his certification from University Technology Institute, Chicago, Illinois in 1992.

Bill spent 20 years as a Master Technician for GM. He then became a stay-at-home dad until all five children were in school and then worked for the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District in Oak Harbor as both a bus driver and I.T. specialist. He was currently employed by the Lakota School District as an I.T. specialist. Bill loved to Cruise and was a Platinum Member of Carnival Cruise Line, where he had spent more than 100 days at sea. He loved taking pictures, and could often be found around the school and various areas in the community taking pictures of sporting events. He also enjoyed music, Star Trek, the Green Bay Packers and loved seeing his grandsons and spending time with his children.

Survivors include his loving and supportive wife Anita (Bodi) whom he married April 14, 2000; children: Abygale (Zachary) Brickner of Tiffin, OH, Mark Bodi of Fremont, OH, Gabryle Branch, Theodore (McKenzie Thompson) Branch, & Daniel Branch all of Oak Harbor; his grandson’s Karson Brickner & Kingston Branch. He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandmother Verna June Weslow.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2-6pm at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
