Lauren Blair “Bill” Milbrodt, 89 of Graytown, OH passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Mercy- St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo from injuries he sustained from falling on the ice. He was born November 11, 1935 in Graytown, OH to the late Paul and Edith (Frederick) Milbrodt. He graduated from Harris-Elmore High School in 1953. Lauren was a fulltime farmer and loved watching plants grow. He had an opportunity to be a Benton Township Trustee in his earlier years as well as 2 terms in Soil & Water Conservation.
On August 18, 1962, Lauren married the love of his life Faye Brillhart. This union produced over 62 years of a happy marriage. Lauren & Faye spent many winters in Winter Haven, FL, eventually purchasing orange & grapefruit groves. It was his delight to take family and friends there to pick some fruit.
Bill, a nickname he got in High School, spent many hours doing yard work and gardening and helping Faye with her flower gardens. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston, OH. Church was important to him and he usually was at the door to greet friends joking & teasing with them. In 2018, Lauren retired from farming and was very pleased when his great-nephew Ty Milbrodt stepped in to take over working the farm.
Bill is survived by his wife Faye, sister-in-law Carol Moritz; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Walter & Marvin Milbrodt, and nephew Mike Milbrodt.
All Services, at this time, will be held privately by the family. Burial will be in Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 17955 W. Third St., Elliston, OH 43432.
