Beverly L. Egert

Beverly Lou (Wendt) Egert, 78 of Perrysburg, OH and formerly of Elmore and Sandusky, OH died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born February 1, 1934 in Elmore, to the late Louis and Evelyn (Ley) Wendt. She married George J. "Nip" Egert November 11, 1951 who preceded her in death December 9, 2004. Beverly was an LPN retiring from Riverside Hospital, Toledo, in 1993. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both in Elmore. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Karen (Robert) Verbryke Jr, of Curtice, OH, Cynthia Heins of Woodville, OH, and Ronald Egert of Toledo, OH; brothers: Tom Wendt of Lewiston, ID and Mark Wendt of Gibsonburg, OH; sister Rita Flick of Elmore, OH; grandchildren: Kim Knepper, Jennifer Manore, Kendra Davis, Stacy Huntoon, and Kyle Heins; great- grandchildren: Alexis, John, Lauren, Grace, Audrey, Alana, Nadya, Katya, Karinna, Reece, Bryce, Alena, Billy, Kalle and Karli, and her dog Anthony. Services will begin at 11am Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore with the Rev. Stephen Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to either Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the American Cancer Society.
