Beverly J. Lockhart, 75, of Port Clinton, Ohio, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born on July 26, 1938 in Clay Center, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer and Irene (Shanyck) Zunk. On November 30, 1957 she married Donald W. Lockhart and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2008. During her working years, Beverly worked as a deli clerk at Krogers, then as a bookkeeper in the accounting department at the former Mr. Wiggs department store, and finally as an insurance assistant at the former Carstensen's Insurance, all in Port Clinton. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. She was an avid volleyball player, and enjoyed knitting, cooking, and most importantly, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons: Robert Wayne (Joni) Lockhart, Port Clinton; William (Kerryn) Lockhart, Port Clinton; daughter: Karin (Dan) Willis, Oak Harbor, Ohio; grandchildren: Richard Lockhart, Ryan Lockhart, Kayla Lockhart, Aaron Lockhart, Emily Willis, Olivia Willis, Alison Willis; great grandchildren: Carter and Liam. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be held at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 10am until funeral services at 11am with Pastor Jim Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
