Betty Mae Busdiecker

Betty Mae (DeMuth) Busdiecker, 95 of Oak Harbor, OH died Sunday, April 9, 2023 at her home under Hospice Care. She was born August 7, 1927 at home in Woodville, OH to the late Howard and Laura (Molkenbur) DeMuth. She was a 1945 graduate of Woodville High School. On September 7, 1946 she married Walter Busdiecker who preceded her in death March 8, 2012, they had 3 children: Jill, Jack, and Andrew.

Betty worked as a secretary through out the earlier years of her marriage. She served as a church organist at several churches starting at the age of 16 and retiring 70 years later at 86. She also played the organ for many years for funerals in the Mollgaard Funeral Home in Woodville. Betty was a member of Oak Harbor United Methodist Church of which she was the organist for many years. She was an avid reader and knitter.

Survivors include her daughter Jill Busdiecker of Oak Harbor; daughter-in-law’s: Robin Busdiecker of Woodville and Heidi Busdiecker of Toledo, OH; grandchildren: Christy, Laura , Keith, Katie, Corey, and Adam; great-grandchildren: Teresa, Jillian, Gweneth, Christiansen, Madison, Mason, Harper, Kenna, Jake, Cole, Kai, Andi, Gavin, and Jack; and sister-in-law’s Eunice Kruse and Mary Lou Busdiecker. She was also preceded in death by sons: Kim (infant), Jack, and Andrew; sisters Wanda and Vivian.

Graveside Services will begin at 1:30pm on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to SouthernCare Hospice, 6545 Central Ave. #103, Toledo, OH 43617.
