Betty Jo Cook

Betty Jo Cook, 79, of Port Clinton, OH joined her husband and daughter in heaven on Monday, March 20, 2017. She was born October 21, 1937 in St. Paul, VA the daughter of Howard Elmer and Mable (McRenolds) Glovier. She married Herman Cook on June 28, 1958 and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2016. Mrs. Cook worked at Ares for 30 years. She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1610, Port Clinton, OH. Surviving are her daughters: Karen (Bill) Garretson, Akron, OH Kathy (Eric) O'Brien, Oak Harbor, OH, Donna (Mark) Szymanowski, Fremont, OH; son-in-law: Mitchell Conners, Oak Harbor, OH; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim (Joyce) Glovier, Baltimore, MD, Bobby (Janice) Glovier, St. Clair Shores, MI, Lawrence (Linda) Glovier, Bristol, TN, Billy Ray (Kathy) Glovier, Abington, VA; sisters: Sandra (Don) Chaffin, St. Paul, VA, Donna Lynn Glovier, St. Paul, VA, Christine (Gene) Kerrington, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband: Herman; daughter: Dana Denise Conners and brother: Howard "Bud" Glovier. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, March 24, 2017 at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St. Oak Harbor, OH where visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
