Betty Jane Williams

Betty Jane Williams was entrusted to the Lord on December 16, 2010. Betty was born on April 28, 1923 in Willard, Ohio. She graduated from Willard High School where she was a proud cheerleader. She married Joe Williams on March 20, 1943. She later gave birth to two children: Penne and James. While raising two children, Betty worked as a nurse receptionist in a doctor's office in Shelby, Ohio. During retirement, Betty loved to sew, often making quilts and pillows to give to family and friends. Also, Betty did volunteer work for Magruder Hospital and the Humane Society. A lover of animals, she raised many cats and dogs. Betty was an active member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and The First Church of Christ, both in Lakeside, Ohio She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Joe A. Williams, her daughter: Penne J. Coughlin, her son: James A. Williams, and grandson: Trevor Hodges. A memorial service will be held at 10 am Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Lakeside United Methodist Church, 450 Central Ave, Lakeside, Ohio, with Reverend Jerry Phelps officiating.
