Betty Irene Hilty Hornbeck

Betty Irene Hilty Hornbeck, 100 formerly of Findlay, OH died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Otterbein Assisted Living in Marblehead, OH. She was born October 15, 1922 in Findlay, OH to the late Henry and Mary (Wannemacher) Brown. In 1939 she married Paul Hilty who preceded her in death in 1984. In 1991 she married Forrest “Midge” Hornbeck who also preceded her in death April 17, 2017. Betty worked in food service for Marathon Oil Company in Findlay and retired in 1980. She held memberships in the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and AmVets all in Findlay. She spent the last 20 years wintering in Naples, FL.

Survivors include her son Thomas (Victoria) Hilty of Toledo, OH; step-children: Lilian (Duane) Wacker, Patricia (Tim) Gallagher, and Forrest “Skip” (Becky) Hornbeck; grandchildren: Lorie (Randy) Hart, Scott (Debbie) Hilty, and step-granddaughter Molly Willis; great- grandchildren: Nikki Hart, Dylan Hart, and Delaney Hilty; 7 step-grandchildren; and 13 step great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Louis and Earl Brown, and sisters Cora Decker, Marcelle Swander, and Annella Letherman.

Private Graveside services will be conducted by Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, OH.
